What is 3D landscape design visualization and why is it needed?
3D landscape design visualization is a detailed, carefully designed 3D model of a plot and all the objects on it. It allows the client to see the picture of the future garden. The landscape design is not yet realized, but the client can already review it and provide additional requests. If something in the visualization doesn’t meet their expectations, the design can be easily adjusted, such as changing the tree or bush, or altering the location of a gazebo or other elements on the plot. After the project is implemented and plants are planted, making such changes becomes much more difficult.
3D visualization is your finished project in the form of an image. You can see every little detail — for example, the layout of zones, the paths, their materials, and the colors of the plants.
We also offer clients the service of creating a 3D video. In the visualization program, we place “cameras” around your design project and create a video from these angles, allowing you to see your plot in dynamic motion.
What is needed to create a landscape design project for a garden?
At the beginning of the project, specialis ts must first inspect the territory for which the landscape design will be created. Designers also need a geodetic map — a set of documents that shows the existing plants, buildings, and other elements on the site, the area they occupy, the terrain’s elevation changes, and more.
Both the geodetic map and the site inspection allow the identification of features that may not be immediately visible. Geodesic data can be inaccurate (especially if it was conducted by external specialists or done some time ago), and a visual inspection does not provide precise measurements.
Typically, 3D landscape design visualization is one of the final stages of the project. Before that, only sketches are made, which roughly show the placement of elements on the site.
However, there are clients who find it difficult to imagine how the design will look without a 3D model. For such clients, we offer to create a visualization of the project after the master plan has been developed. This is especially useful if they are unsure about what they want to see on the site. To avoid having to redo plans for irrigation, lighting, and so on later, we begin the 3D visualization process once the master plan is ready.
